Dyslexia. Specific Learning Disorders. General Learning Difficulties. Giftedness. Learning Disability.
The cost of a dyslexia assessment is $1,200. This cost includes: initial consultation, administration of the cognitive and literacy assessments, half hour feedback session at the end of the assessment process, and the final report. A complete assessment (cognitive and literacy) is needed to diagnose dyslexia.
The final report will include a diagnosis of dyslexia (and/or other specific learning impairments or giftedness) or a generalised learning difficulty.
The cost of a dyslexia assessment with an individual educational plan (developed from the assessment results) is $1,600.00. This includes a follow-up consultation after the assessment to formulate realistic goals and practical intervention strategies. The cost for ongoing consultations for review of the individual educational plan, including these goals and strategies, is $80 per session.
The cost of a part assessment is $900. A part assessment is either the cognitive or literacy assessment, as well as the final report.
A 50% deposit is payable at the time of booking an assessment.
Final payment is made after administration of the assessments (and before the final report has been provided). If the assessment is conducted across two sessions (this is preferrable for students aged 6 to 7 years), the remaining 50 percent is paid at the end of the second session (and before the final report has been provided).
Please note: If the final payment is not made at the end of the assessment administration, there will be a delay in provision of the report. Report writing does not begin until the final payment has been received.
Follow-up consultations and costs after assessment.
The cost of a follow-up consultation after the assessment report has been provided is $150 for a one-hour, face-to-face consultation. The cost of a 30-minute, face-to-face consultation is $80. Follow-up consultations are payable at the time of booking the session.
Additional costs are also incurred for changes to the assessment report after it has been written (excluding editorial errors). These costs vary, depending on the time required to make the changes requested.
